Billy Mac
original songs about the game of golf

Billy Mac, New Orleans product and Seattle resident, has brought popular music to the game of golf in a way no one has ever done before. An accomplished singer and songwriter, he has brought the idea of golf music to a joyous reality with his
internationally-acclaimed CD, "Tee It Up."

"the melodies are infectious ! …. " -- Golf Magazine

His work is infused with both an abiding respect for the game, for its history and traditions, and a healthy sense of humor for the madcap and maddening moments endured by those who play. It has been unanimously praised from Scottsdale to Scotland.

"the most entertaining golf romp since Caddyshack ...
... a CD no golfer should be without"
-- Louisville Golf

Enduring is a key word -- Billy's songs are the type that will be sung for generations to come. It is no coincidence that those who have seen the game endure have honored this music. "The Old Course," his soaring homage to the history of
St. Andrews, was named the theme of the St. Andrews' Links Trust's 600th Anniversary, the World Shotgun 2000.

"We're proud to have Billy's music as part of St. Andrews' 600th Anniversary."
-- Jim Wilson, Director for the St. Andrews' Links Trust World Shotgun 2000

His stirring, gospel-tinged ballad "Augusta, Sweet Augusta" may someday be the most remembered piece of music about that storied venue and the great tournament it hosts.

"touches all who love golf...you can't help being moved"
- Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel

Billy's special song projects have included the 2000 First Tee Convention theme "Coloring Lives," the LPGA 50th Anniversary tribute "For the Love of the Game,"and his moving tribute to Bobby Jones and his Atlanta contemporaries "The Champions ofEastlake." His music is featured coast-to-coast on golf broadcasts such as
Philadelphia's Golfshots television show on Comcast Network, and Roger Gunn's Los Angeles-based radio program. He has also written a song honoring one of his favorite destinations, Alabama's Robert Trent Jones Trail.

"the musical equivalent of a 300-yard one iron, straight down
the middle and with just the proper hint of a power fade."
-- J Michael Kenyon, Phocian Review of Golf, Phocian.com

"his music never strays very far from his roots in
the good-time rhythm and blues of New Orleans
...Those who play will understand once they listen to Mac's labor of love
...call them songs in the tee of life."
-- Dave LaGarde, New Orleans Times-Picayune
